Home Birth supplies

None of these items are necessary to give birth but some are good to have, Tailor your supplies to your needs and what you think you will use

Labor/Birth
Video camera
Digital camera
Chux pads (I would suggest around 30 or more)
Birth pool and draining supplies
Net to fish out floaties from pool
Sleeping bag to pad under the birth pool
extra blankets for mommy and baby (Have some in the dryer for easy heating)
Lots of clean towels (wash then place in a plastic bag until birth)
Have bed made like so... First Plastic sheet, regular sheet, plastic sheet then regular sheet.
Good snacks for labor and after
Old Blankets for on the floor with a plastic sheet under if you have carpet
Wash clothes for cooling forehead and warm compress
A bowl for placenta and a bowl for barf
drinks (juice, tea, etc.) for labor
Pillows
A Heating pad to heat baby hats and blankets
Flexy Straws or a cup with a built in straw
Birth Ball
Birth Stool
Trash bags
Peroxide (removes blood stains)
Pads and Old panties for 'pp flow'
A peri bottle and Witch Hazel
Plastic laundry basket (for bloody towels)
Crock pot to heat up water for heating pads and warm compresses
Oil for perineum massage
aromatherapy and candles (lighter)
Blood pressure cuff
Doppler/fetoscope
Emergency Instruction Sheet for Husband
Hospital & Cesarean Backup Plans
Emergency numbers for Hubby (including hospital)

Postpartum
Something to tie cord (braided embroidery floss, clamp, shoelace)
Sterile Scissors
Scale and tape measure for measuring baby
Bulb syringe (or you can use your mouth to clear babys passage ways)
Outfits and diapers for baby
Depends for momma
Comfy outfit set aside for after the birth
Frozen or easy meals for babymoon (at least 2 weeks worth)
Scale and measuring tape
Foot printer (for fun)
Blood typing kit
A bag ready in case of emergency transfer

After birth herbs and remedies

• Shepherds Purse Tincture for hemorrhage
  
• Cayenne tincture or use (1 tbl cayenne pepper in 1 cup warm water) for hemorrhage
  
• Cayanne tincture can also be squirted directly into the vagina if bleeding badly from a tear
• Arnica for vaginal bruising
• Grapefruit seed Extract for fighting infection (liquid form can be added to Peri bottle)
• Rescue remedy for shock
• Seaweed for tears
